Our Business

We have served Lake Arrowhead continuously since 1972. The business is named in honor of our father, William T. Altmeyer,  who was a structural  and geotechnical engineer serving Southern California since 1950.

Chris Altmeyer

President

Chris has lived his whole adult life in Lake Arrowhead. He started out in the construction industry as a soils technician/ inspector and served in that capacity for 5 years specializing in mass hillside grading projects throughout Southern California. He missed the mountain life and decided to start a paving business which was based in Lake Arrowhead. A & A Paving Co became Altmeyer Construction and Engineering and finally WTA Construction (named for his dad, Bill Altmeyer). 2012 saw our name changed back to Altmeyer Construction.

Jeff grew up and attended Rim Schools since elementary school. Upon completion of high school, he joined with Chris and formed A & A Paving Company starting out  small - constructing asphalt driveways, patching asphalt and seal coating. The business quickly grew and before long we were paving schools, commercial centers and mountain roads
